What is up with people getting offended if you don’t follow them back on twitter? What is up with people expecting that just because they clicked a button I should follow them? ROFLMAO Are you kidding me? You really must give me a reason. Let me read some of your tweets and like them or hit some replies and interact with me and I will follow immediately.

Let’s define social a little bit for those of you that may have forgotten. It’s interaction. Social = seeking or enjoying the companionship of others; friendly; sociable; gregarious. Network = a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest: It’s not just a link exchange, if I wanted that I could buy that right? It’s learning from and about others. You may want to notice the “supportive” part of the definition I found on dictionary.com. LOL

So if you go on twitter or any other social site, don’t EXPECT a follow. It’s just not social to expect everyone to say Hi in the hallway.

My friends sent me a phone pic from hawaii when they ate breakfast from their balcony this morning. It was 29 degrees at the time here so I apreciated the pic to make my phone wallpaper and to warn them it was going to truly suck next week when they get home. lol What else is a sister to do? I said I was jealous, but thank you for sending me the pic, it looks so cool on my phone!

It’s 12:33am on thanksgiving. I had dinner at my parents house and am over the tummy ache now. Yes, I’ve had some wine since then, but since I had only one meal my calorie count is probably uber good. lol

So I sent son and my nephew to bed after lots of old school movies. Alien, Alien 2 and then resident evil. Hasn’t watched resident evil 3 yet, just caught 2 at one time. But it was getting late and I am tired.

It may be worse cause hubby is obviously busy, I didn’t get a nite, love you on the text tonight and that’s usually ok. But then I turned on Leno. It’s a dedication to Cali firefighters. K, usually, not so whatever, we have a crap load of firefighters everywhere. BUT, as you know, we lost our Chief to a Cali wildfire

One thing I’m not sure I have mentioned before. The due date for our oldest child was July 26. That’s a date a Mom never forgets, even if you are not born on it. Then 13 years later, our Chief passes away on it. Again, it is not a date I will ever forget. You may remember where you were on 9/11 and I do as well, but i remember where I was when our other chiefs got the initial call (we didn’t know yet) and I will forever remember the page going out for an important meeting on a sunday am and the 1.5 hour wait to find out what was so important. OMG, I’m a wreck right now. I literally can’t wait for him to come home in the morning.

I’ve been doing so well. But right now all I keep thinking of it’s his families first holidays without him. The tears are literally rolling down my face and I’m running out of tissue. I can’t wait to hug my hubby tomorrow when he gets home. I didn’t get to text much with him tonight so I’m sure that doesn’t help, he’s always at the busy stations. That is good, but tonight, not so much.

Yes, I am looking for support. YES, I will talk to him tomorrow about it. I had to help him and his friends so much through it that I only got to deal a little bit. I’m a “bitch” so I need to be the hardass and the shoulder when my boys cry, but I am still a silly, hormonal woman that can’t deal like the rest of them. I love every single one of them and I better never go through this again. So help me if it’s one of them I’m truly attached to they will regret ever meeting me after I get up there. lol

I hope that his wife ran away with the girls tomorrow. Or maybe she’s stronger than I am and is cooking dinner for the family. Whatever she is doing my whole being is with her in support this holiday season. It’s going to be Christmas soon without her beloved husband, their Daddy and their Grandpa. OMG how do you even go there when he was only 47? How do you move on without your best friend?

K, I should mention that this maybe started last week. My son and I were in the tacotime drive through and the stupid Brad Paisley song came on from Chief’s funeral. I was the strong one until it came up and the video came on with all the boys when they brought him off the plain from cali. Oh man, maybe I didn’t blog about it, maybe I better relook at what I’ve written and reblog. It’s possible I’m sure I didn’t blog about it. Anyway it was “When I get where I am going”. Sad enough song to listen to. But try watching a slide show of the Chief being LITERALLY brought home in his coffin on the plane and transported on his beloved engines home. While all the boys are crying. My poor son, lol, he didn’t know what was wrong and he’s a softie. I’m literally tearing up in the drive thru and can’t help it. lol I’m dabbing and trying to stop the tear flow, but no success.

So that started it only a few days ago. I haven’t heard that song until last week. So it is meant to remind me to hug the hell out of my hubby and appreciate every second with him. I know he had a bad call recently where the guy was really burnt up. We couldn’t say it, but the tears in his eyes told me he thought of the pain Chief must have been in when he died. I’ve been with him too long to not read through the big buy act.

Hug your family tomorrow please, if you can’t hug them, then please do call and tell them how much you appreciate and love them. You just never know when the time is up.

This may be a long post, so grab a drink or two or three!

I do not believe much in coincidence. I believe we bring into our lives what we reap and what we associate with. Unfortunately, at this very moment I am worried about what our best friend may have brought into ours that I have no control over until the weekend is over.

Our best friend is screwing someone else’s wife. I don’t care how “unhappy” she is in her marriage. It started when he was married and she is still married. It’s wrong, no way to mince it, IT IS WRONG! You want to be with ANYONE ELSE, you end what you are in. It takes one simple phone call.

My husband is out hunting right now with our best friend and low and behold, out in the middle of no where, they have run into the husband of said cheater. Yes, it gets way more complicated if I go into detail. The bitch has tried to get into my bed as well. Lots of love flows there with me. I drug her out of my bed (she pretended she was passed out drunk) by her hair down the hall. Goodness, don’t we sound like trash? Anyway, these were never very good friends and that’s beside the point cause we cut them out of our life. But this other guy brought her deeper into his life.

Anyway, they ran into him and I’m 400 miles away tweaking out. Then after that they ran into a guy that our friend thinks was doing his wife while he was still married. I do not like these vibes. I know it’s our fault for keeping him in our life, but he’s family after 20 years. But now they are staying at our friends house and that means it’s been brought into their life.

Hubby will have to cut the ties. I’ve never set my foot down about anything. I know he will not disagree and thankfully he can blame me. But this is the end, I will not put my family and friends in danger. I am trying to calm down and that is hard to do. There is nothing I can do this far away. But the husband was not supposed to be that far north on his trip. not even close to where he is supposed to be tomorrow for a convention.

I’m waiting for hubby to call me when his phone service will stay on. He knows it’s serious cause I texted him it’s important. Good grief, I hate bad feelings! I’ve never had people in my life this close act with this much immorality. Come on! Have standards! UGH, thanks for listening to my crap.

This is a must listen. Yes, there is some swearing so please beware and don’t listen to it if your kids aren’t used to the “f” word. It’s used just a couple of times. Typically on my site here I’d just spell that out, but I am putting this link up on twitter and other places so I don’t want to offend some of my followers. lol Just thinking of your sensibilities on this post alone cause everyone needs to watch it.

Our local tv station had a bunch of different YouTube vids on this morning to lighten our day. Instantly fell in love with this one and had to hear the rest of it. It’s hilarious, but scary at the same time because it is true!

The holidays will be here before we know it. Let’s plan ahead for the holidays and enjoy them. I know hubby and I were already talking about Thanksgiving and I’m honestly looking forward to Christmas this year and doing it up huge with family and friends. It’s time to celebrate all our loved one’s and how much they mean to us. BUT, I do not want to run around the whole time and not enjoy myself. Here comes my timely answer!

I am a biggy on celebrating the holiday. This means that I get to ENJOY the holidays as well. I do not need to run around and get frustrated trying to get it all done myself. I know I bring it on myself and this ebook is here to help remind me it’s not all on me. Not only does it help me go through past holidays and figure out what I could have done differently, but it’s giving me a ton of tips to put in place TODAY so I can enjoy December with the rest of my family.

A big one I will be using is the gift ideas for frugal giving. The holidays are NOT about how much money was spent. They are about family, friends and getting together. Yes, I want to get presents for my loved one’s, but I want them to have meaning. I know I LOVE homemade gifts! I’m planning out the list of gifts for everyone this weekend so I can make things here and there. Again, I do not want to be doing all the cooking and baking that weekend before Christmas. That’s addressed in the ebook as well.

If you are planning on making edibles and shipping them this year I highly recommend joining in the free webinar “Sending Christmas Webinar” on Tuesday, October 28th at 10:30am EST. Again, it’s free and will help you get those edible gifts to friends and family in one piece. Hope to see you there!

But that is not all. My Aunt’s hubby, can’t call him uncle personally as he’s only 10 years older and I was an adult when they got together. We’ve had a blast going to USC campus, hollywood and then beverly hills! I’m ready to hit hollywood again because I’m trashy and want my pic taken with Capt. Jack!

Tomorrow we are off to Catalina Island super early, ugh but worth it we hear. lol Then we will probably do to the tourist crap and actualy stop this time. lol It was USC parent weekend and the town is busy. Just our luck, we’d hit Seattle on this weekend as well. Too funny!

This is amazing. We are in such an incredible spot. It’s safe enough to send my kids (13 & 10) down to the pier on their own. My Aunt is just as strict as I am and has been a foster parent for years so she is sometimes more strict than I. I’m excited to send the kids down to the video games by themselves. R U Kidding em? We can see them from the balcony, but they will think they are so cool and big kids. lol

So much to post, so little time. I WILL catch up. lol NIGHT all!

Tomorrow is the day finally. We’re on a plane to my Aunt’s house in Redondo Beach, CA. Totally excited to get our first true family vacation.

Laundry is almost done, dishes are caught up and ready to go after breakfast dishes are put in. It’s only 10:30 here but I think I’m off to bed so I can get up early in the morning and finish everything up. Our good friend is living with his mom right now since the divorce (still making house payments while she lives there, another post, lol) so he’s going to house sit next week and take care of the dogs. Hunting season opens in the morning so I’m also going to have the teenager come over during the day and weekend while he’s at work and hunting. I’m still stressing out about leaving my babies behind, but it has to be done. :( I’m going to miss them lots.

My Aunt’s bday is Monday and she has booked for us to go to Catalina Island. Looks gorgeous and EXPENSIVE. Yikes. We are only bringing carry-ons so no room for dress clothes. Then we will get to knottsberry farm on one day and hopefully a touristy trip to LA. We’d like to check out USC and some other places around.

I got a cool new laptop bag on clearance at target. Only $9.84 and it fits my huge laptop. woohoo, will bring that with so I can blog at the end of some days or early mornings. I needed a bag anyway and I just couldn’t go 8 days without my computer. lol So when I was picking up books, magazines and snacks and saw the bag I knew I had to grab it.

I’m not packed, but I doubt it takes me too long. I’m not picky and thankfully my Aunt and I aren’t that different in size. I’m sure I can wear her stuff down there if needed. lol Look for awesome fun posts to come. OMG, so excited to go on vacation with my family!

Do your research and make an informed vote. Nothing is more scary to me than ignorance.
