Heating backrooms

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: site reviews

Our master bathroom get’s cold.  We have central heating, but it’s just darn cold in there all the time.  I would love to add some other heating in there for before I get in the shower or so I could take a bath without the fear of getting frostbite when I get out.

While researching different ways to add heaters, cause how do I know what I want.  I came across vent free gas logs. Vent free? I love that idea. I have unusable space in my master bath and how cool would it be to fire up one of these, light my candles, pour a glass of wine and just veg out looking at the log? OH MAN, and they are affordable too. Of course that makes a big difference to me. lol

My parents on the other hand have a very cold house. They only have a gas fireplace as heat. For all the years I lived there we only had a woodstove as heat. Needless to say, we had some quick showers growing up. They are going to remodel the bathroom finally and are talking about putting in a wall heater. Something you can turn on and go back in within a few minutes and have it nice and toasty.

Or maybe a patio heater is more your style? Anything to do with heating is on this site. I love the patio heaters. Up here in Washington the Summer’s aren’t as hot. So of course that means our nights can get down into the 60’s quick quickly. But we love to sit outside and enjoy the lazy Summer nights. This will make it so we can stay out longer with friends or just the 4 of us playing poker. lol

Cleanse

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: site reviews

What a surprise to get a site review on a product already in my house. Perfect, it’s also a product that has been ordered well more than once.

My hubby has been using the Dual Action herbal cleanser for months now. He likes it. I’ve been meaning to give it a try since it is here, but just never think of it. I have a difficult enough time trying to remember to take my daily vitamin.

Sometimes a good cleanse is helpful to keep our bodies working efficiently. Especially if you are planning on working hard on your eating habits. It gives you a great start when you detoxify your body. I’d have to say that since this review came up I’ll take it as a sign that I’m supposed to grab the product and give it a try. If it makes hubby feel even a little better, then I think it will be worth a good try.

Business opp

Franchises are hot. Honestly, if you have the money to invest in a franchise it is a good idea. Just do your research first. My gym is a franchise and it rocks. They got in as the first for our state and have been incredibly happy ever since.

But if we are online, then what is better than a computer help franchise opportunity? Oh wait, a computer help company that supplies the techs for you!  Yes, that would be even better.  All you need is managerial skills to set up what your techs will do.  The company even finds the techs for you.  As with any business opportunity, I suggest you do a lot of research to make sure it is the right business for you.  But this is a great one to check into.

I love ebooks

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, site reviews

I make no bones about loving ebooks. I have a book closet, but when I’m in the mood to just veg out and do nothing, I swear I’ll have gone through them without knowing it. ARGHH, totally frustrating. This is why I love ebooks. I pay for them and then download them immediately. We are such products of immediate demand.

Typically when I buy ebooks I’m buying something specifically written for the internet. But at Books on Board I can have my favorite Romance Novels by my favorite authors! SWEET! Add the fact that I now have a laptop and can just read them on my computer in bed and why in the world am I buying paperbacks anymore?

I’m excited to be able to purchase my “just for fun books” to read while the kids are on Christmas break.

Wishlist

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: shopping, site reviews

It’s been on my wishlist since I was 16. I could have had my leather motorcycle jackets for that birthday. But decided to get my sunroof fixed so it wouldn’t leave a puddle on my seat and get a new stereo. lol If I hadn’t had to give up my car after graduation it would have been the right choice. But since they gave the car to my brother when I went to college, I got screwed. I should have went for the jacket.

I guess it will always be on my wishlist. Along with the bike of course. We’ll have a bike again in a couple of years, but right now the kids take all our money. lol But I can definitely put in for the jacket first. I like the classic styles and there are a ton of leather motorcycle jackets to choose from at the Bazzaar Online. There are even cool halter tops and vests. I went in to look at the halter tops thinking they would all be cheesy and I actually want a few of them. lol I like a lot of the vests and would love one of those for sure.

I’ll be forwarding this link to hubby. He was just looking through the site with me. He likes the halter’s as well and since they are only around $20 I’m sure I can get him to order at least one of them for me. lol Don’t you think they’d make a great stocking stuffer. ;)

Best of all you’ve got to check the shipping charges out. They already have a savings of 20-70%. But then the shipping charges are a flat ground rate of $12.95. HOLY COW! That is for unlimited items. It costs $4 to send the smallest of items these days, let alone a big heavy leather coat. Incredible deal on the shipping.

No matter what your leather needs are I think you will find it on Bazaar Online. They have a children’s line, novelty items, and of course jackets for everyone. lol

Get your online shopping done

Time is of the essence in order to make sure your online orders get to you in time. You really don’t want to have to rely on the post office not being too busy to get your package to you. lol

Personalized Gifts for Children is a truly unique option. Especially if you have a kid with a spelling that isn’t as common like my daughter’s. She loves to get personalized gifts, but we can rarely find them off the shelf. Shop for stockings, the ever popular children’s books, ornaments and much more. With over 500 children’s gifts, you are sure to find many items for each child on your list.

I love the personalized stockings. In the past we have had to try to remember who’s stocking is who’s and that doesn’t always turn out to be the best. Now that we have them personalized, there is no question of which one to put each kid’s stuff in.

Soy candles

I love soy candles. They burn cleaner and longer. They are also a product that can be replenished quickly. Unlike petroleum based candles that do not support the environment or our farmers.

I have burned Mia Bella candles quite a few times and am amazed at their potency. Besides that, just try and figure out which scent to buy. It’s nearly impossible! This is why I really like the candle of the month option. I first fell in love with Mia Bella candles when I won a monthly contest for free candles. WOW, was all I could say. You too can win the weekly contest by filling in the form. Who doesn’t love free candles right?

For more information on Soy Candles and the Candle of the month, visit Burn Soot Free. You will truly be amazed by the scent drift through your house!

If you don’t want to believe me, then go to her site and request a free sample. Louella will be more than happy to assist you with any of your needs.

Mom’s Turn…

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, site reviews

was reading my mind. Now my family and friends that live locally do not have the url for this blog and are not internet junkies, so they wouldn’t think to google my name and find it. But as my blog gets more popular it is something I worry about. How can I keep this my personal blog with the venting needed and not worry about offending anyone? Ok, well I don’t really worry about that. My venting is my venting and if someone comes across it I don’t use names. Therefore they would have to know what they did something wrong to know that I was talking about them. LOLOL

But alas there are times I just need to get something off my chest and it’s too bad to put on my blog and risk it being found by the wrong person. Here is where Mom’s Turn comes in. She has created a blog where we Mom’s can post anonymously. (boy that word looks funky) You email her a post and she will put it up with no name or email addy on it. Once it’s off your chest, it won’t bother you as much. Win-win for everyone! Cool idea and I look forward to seeing some of the posts.

Thou Shalt Clean

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: cleaning, general, site reviews

Oh what a cool blog. Lara created Thou Shalt Clean just recently, but she is rocking with the useful posts. I am not a good house cleaner, in fact I hate to clean. But I wish I was a neat freak. I’d love it if I wasn’t embarrassed for people to stop by. Even though I have nothing to be embarrassed about, my friends say my house just looks loved. lol

Lara has started an awesome weekly challenge that I am looking forward to starting next week. She will have topics to work on and then we can share some linky love by posting about it. :) Guess I’ll have to start a cleaning catagory here on Busy Momma so I can complain about the cleaning. lmao

Follow along with me here and at Thou Shalt Clean. You’ll get a lot of quick tips to help you clean more efficiently. And be honest, does anyone WANT to spend a long time cleaning? Do you? YOU ARE ONE SICKY PUPPY! I’d rather be mountain biking!

Mommie’s Coffee Break

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, site reviews

Well for one I just love their template design and name. Hey, you’ll get me every time with coffee. Die hard coffee addict here and PROUD of it! lol Then the tagline for their blog is awesome as well, “Two Mom’s shooting the breeze about faith, love, and life…”.

Now here’s the kicker. They are both religious and I am not. I don’t know that I’ve ever talked about religion on here. Odd, that may be one of the only things I haven’t talked about. I’m not religious. I have mixed ideas. Not confused ideas, just a big mixture of faiths. My parents were brought up Catholic, but didn’t want us to grow up that way as the church scared the pants off them when they were little. Then I am Native American and feel a very strong connection with those beliefs. Being Irish and Indian there is a serious ancient belief in being one with the land. But I so digressed. I love to read about other’s views on religion. I like to learn what their reasoning is and also how it helps them with daily connections. I’m open to all religions as I know I can learn something new every day. I’m especially open to learning from the ladies on Mommie’s Coffee Break because I have gotten to know and respect Lara over the last several months. There’s already an awesome connection and I feel I could ask questions on their blog and get some honest answers to help me see their point of view.

But religion is not all their blog is about, and not even the main point of their blog. lol It is about being Mommy’s and getting all of it together. I’m always open to hearing how other Mom’s are making it work. Or just commiserating with them as we all stumble through it together. When I can get two Mom’s view points in one blog it is a major score for me. lol
