So not only am I excited to watch this show. Shatner reminds me of my Dad. Dad doesn’t even try, they could just be brothers I swear. But now I want to go buy the book. Kick ass parent group, you just brought attention to the exact opposite of what you wanted. I didn’t know about Sh*t My Dad Says until they complained and it hit yahoo. I thank you for bringing it to my attention

Alas, as far as following the books and even the fun theme of the books, it’s a total fail. BUT, if I hadn’t read the books then it is great. I force myself to ignore the fact that it’s so completely different than the books and just enjoy. I was angry after the first season because they changed so much and didn’t have characters look anything like their descriptions in the book. But season 2 is SO different that I’m having an easier time.

I’m on episode 7, I think of season 2. So far they have thrown a lot of stuff in and taken a ton of artistic liberty with the story. But they have thrown a few of the funny spots in from the book.

I just wish they had stuck to the books more as it’s a very funny series. Usually this much rewriting seems to happen because it needed more action, but this isn’t the case. It hasn’t added more action at all, it added more bloody, vampiric gore than was actually in the books.

I’m now enjoying the True Blood series, but it could screw up at any time. Their choice of actor for Eric sucks and by rewriting his character so much they’ve ruined it for me. Sookie and Eric’s relationship is huge later in the series and them screwing up all this early stuff just sucks. They’ve really done a rewrite of Sam’s character as well. Not for the better. Then, don’t get me started on how they’ve changed her brother The Jason in the tv series is NOTHING like the books.

I better leave it at that. Truly, I like both for different reasons and am enjoying the series. However, I’m going to now reread the stackhouse series because I need a good laugh and they are good for that!

Whether getting home from work, running the kids to activities or getting to our own evening meetings, dinner can sure get in the way. It’s not easy to find a schedule on some nights that is perfect for everyone to eat, let alone a time to cook that meal.

I do enjoy cooking, it’s just that being such a busy mom I don’t have the time most nights or I’m too tired to enjoy it. Menu planning and once a week cooking have changed this.

Each week I take a few hours. I head to the grocery store with my pre-written shopping list and then get cooking my main dishes. I can enjoy cooking again and have found I love it even more. It feels great to have all the dinners cooked up and ready to go for later use.

I always toss a couple of the meals in the freezer for the end of the week. This way there’s a quick answer to, “What’s for dinner?” I keep the week’s meal list on the fridge and cross them off as we eat them. It also helps to let one kid pick which meal will be next. Less arguments about eating said meal.

Plan for the week and spend less time in the kitchen!

Sears is the second one I’ve gotten that had some great stuff on it. Especially, the home theater system, as that has been on my Christmas and bday list for the last 8+ years. lol

I love getting the ads early so I can start planning my morning. Also remember that many of the companies are also doing great online specials.

The first email I received from them had the Toys R Us Big Toy book and also Harbor Freight. The Toys R US one isn’t the black friday ad, it is just the start of their big book they send out every year with great deals in it.

So here is my issue. I think I’m starting to really feel that the series has moved in to the teen genre with this book. Not in some of the content and especially in what I hear the next book has. But it’s just so damn whiny. I just want to smack the shit out of Bella and tell her to shut up. Plus I really dislike Edward. I know, I know, I’m the only one. But I’m with Jacob on this one, he’s not perfect but she’s so stuck on the fact he is. It just stinks of teenager. lol

I liked a lot of the different aspects in the book, don’t get me wrong. It was a decent read. But I’m fed up with the extra and the drawn out scenes. I love the interaction with the Cullen’s and of course, I love the stories and the interaction with the Quileute’s. Even if the stories are completely made up for the book. She did a great job there coming up with legends.

Anyway, the Eclipse was long and I thought many parts could be taken out or condensed. Overall it’s a good read. I never have fallen in love with Edward, I am not attracted to his character in the movie either and I did see the character for the movie before I started the series, so maybe that has to do with it as well? But I’m just not attracted to him at all. I’m attracted to real men that tell you how it is. Not guys that want to be all soft and romantic. And now the more I read the series the less I like him even. He’s sneaky and I don’t like that. He doesn’t tell her everything but yet she’s the LOVE of his life right? Hmm, really? But not to the point you tell her your plans and hide things here and there. Not cool. Give me Jacob anyway that is going to tell me when I screw up, tell me he’s going to fight for me and try to take what he wants. Now that to me is a man I want to spend forever with. lol Oh wait, I AM!

So bring on the comments. I’m sure people will want to rip me a new one for my opinion. It’s ok, I can take it. It’s my opinion so it’s not wrong. lol But I would love to hear from some Team Edward people. What has you so attracted to him, especially after what I just wrote about him?

There are too many shirts to talk about in one post. But the next buy for me is the Dirty Skank t-shirt. lol

It’s especially funny in my circle because I’ve been with hubby for 19 years. So yes, I’m a skank. But I’ve been his skank for so many years I never had a chance to be a true whore. OMG, that is funny. Truly, it’s funny. Cause you know what, I guess that is yet another thing that has kept us together. I have no reason to leave the house for more. I am free to be what I am right here in my own safe house TMI? Maybe, your bad.

So don’t go view them if you are offendable. Some of them I won’t even get cause it goes a little too far. But still makes me giggle. I can only see most of these shirts being worn to a bar. I think I’d sneak out of the house with most of them so the kids wouldn’t see either. But they’d be super funny once we got out to an adult only area.

Regal Clothing rocks! Go check them out and get a good laugh. There are many with funny sayings that aren’t inappropriate it. I’d love to have the I’m Tweeting This tee.
