No, You’re Not Lost.

It’s a fluffy post. I had a really great political post started. It’s in draft. Yesterday I had some great conversations on social media learning some things. I was researching and got a good start on it.

Then it just got overwhelming. I literally couldn’t write one more word about politics. Even though this wasn’t a party issue, it was a voter rights issue. So I’ve tabled it.

Instead you are going to get. Hell, I don’t know. I’m writing this at 11:46pm PST and my brain imploded around 8:14 when election results were being officially posted.

Finally Election Day

I know I’m not alone in being excited for this election to pass. No matter who you are voting for it’s been horrible.

So many lies in commercials. To the point I try really hard not to listen to them. They just make me angry. Especially the commercials for things in our state. I mean I live here and it’s pretty easy to listen to the news and get the break downs of the lies. And it’s both parties and both sides of any referendum. Half-truths and twisted truths. Disgusting.

Foreign Car Buyers

Well it’s 2012 and I’m a few months away from being 40. This ties into the title of this post a lot. I’ve watched the fall of the American car.

Since I graduated just over 18 years ago that means that I’ve been listening to my Daddy and actually hearing him for longer than that. My parents have owned foreign cars but not since I can remember him talking about how it would affect our economy. In 75 they bought a VW rabbit and in 78 a VW bus. My Dad bought a very used civic from my uncle after he got his license ( whole other story ) in 79/80 ish before we made the big move to our home city.

Wow, I’m going to be really mature here but HE STARTED IT!

I’ve stayed quite unpolitical here but I guess that was stupid. Pent up political aggression isn’t a good sight.

So we’ll start here and now. Obviously I lean more democrat than republican. However that is totally a lean, I’d really love a party in the middle that was for all Americans but we can’t seem to get that together so I’m going to have to keep leaning heavily.

What am I leaning for?
