I’m focused on my biz goals and I’m already working on hitting some even though it’s only the 12. I started building some in December so I’m off to a running start. Plus once I finally chose to move forward it’s been pretty easy to get my coaching program going.  Testers=check, beta testers=next step, then coaching program launched fully in different levels=a month later.

I’ve been doing great proofreading and tweaking as things go. It’s awesome to have some initial testers that will give me honest feedback.  It’s made it much easier to come up with workpages and lists for the clients to return to me.

I’m not sure if it’s because it’s the start of a new year, because most of my regular shows are on hiatus, or because I’m finally fed up with some unfinished projects around the house, but I’m totally addicted to HGTV right now. I just created a list of everything I can think of that needs to be done both big and small. Most would call it a honey-do list but honestly that’s not the case. There are only a couple of things on it that I wouldn’t tackle myself but if I had to I could figure it out. It’s a list for myself and if hubby wants to jump in on some of the list then all the better.

Yeah, day late, dollar short, whutevah. I’m happy to be able to report that for the most part I actually took time off. Yes, it was only for the most part.  I just couldn’t help myself and set up a new coaching program that went live today for one of my testers and will go out in beta on January 16. Busy Day, Busy Momma…DUH lol Why should my blogiversary be any different right? lol So I’m posting my bday post the day after. Seems quite fitting!

It’s amazing to think that busymomma.com started in 2004 on a silly little blogger blog. I needed a place to vent and everyone was using blogger so I figured why not. A monster was born there but not perfected.

See around the net since 1999 I’ve always been busymomma. It was easy to come up with my personal blog domain name because that was always what I was signing as. lol It was and may be more my signature still, rather than my actual name. I think facebook has changed that some but my twitter account is still much larger and I’m Busy Momma Val there.

A wrestling Mom’s tale

It’s the day before Thanksgiving and all through the house,

Not a creature was pushing to be a tiny mouse.

Wrestling weigh ins causing a long food time gap,

The dilemma to enjoy dinner or just take a nap.

One child trying to gain, another working to lose,

Then me in the middle of the food dilemma blues.

I remember the reason we stopped visiting family on this day,

It’s too difficult to say no to the stuffing, taters and buffet.

Halloween is quiet at my house. I’ve had two trick-or-treaters and it’s 8:40pm. I don’t think the hordes are going to arrive any time soon. I’m glad we didn’t buy too much candy and really not any of my favorites. I snagged a bag of tootsie roll pops but those things can be stored for years as long as it’s a dry environment. Yes, I know this for fact

Well after being offline most of the week, today has been about trying to catch up. I did a bunch of must do stuff earlier in the day, but this evening is about fun posting. Hence, I’m on here.

It’s October and that means horror and scary movies. My favorite! I’m watching the Caller with my furry kids tonight and it’s pretty darn good. I was expecting a B thriller and it’s got a good plot. Kind of like the Butterfly Effect but with contact between the time periods that things are happening. I really like the Butterfly Effect, I’m going to see if that’s on netflix tonight. I have serious doubts as I rarely find anything on netflix when I’m specifically looking. lol

Tons of things are changing. I’m going to get a little redesign this summer as this theme is not as friendly as so many others I’ve used.

I’ll be going through posts and setting some of the really personal posts to private. Not something most of you will notice I’m sure.

The biggest thing that will change is it’s use. It will be used again. I’ve sold off or deleted many sites and blogs in the last few months. I’ve been focusing more and it’s been so productive. I’ve learned a lot over the years. The last 4 years have been a constant roller coaster as family dynamics and jobs changed our lives immensely. But I’ve had tremendous clarity in the last 6 months and it shows in the growth of my businesses.

Some days it’s easier to get blog posts up, other times it’s really turning into work. I’m thinking it could have to do with the weather as well. It’s April in Seattle, therefore we can see rain and grey all day every day. Bleh  Have a feeling it’s seasonal.

Plus I need to downsize many things.  Revamp the focus or even figure out what the recent focus of some sites is.  Without focus on a site or two I’m really wasting my time.

How fun is this?! I downloaded the wordpress app a few months ago but haven’t really used it. It’s very convenient, I just wasn’t set up to use all my battery power at wrestling tournaments and other days I just haven’t needed it.

But it’s spring and all that will be changing. Daughters in track and football starts in a couple weeks for the boy. I’m blogging from the car line waiting to pick him up for appt. The busier the family gets, the more I get discouraged about time wasted waiting.
