I may live up here in the Pacific Northwest, but that doesn’t mean I’m a hippie tree hugger. lol I’ve hugged some trees, but that was because I was about to run into them with my mountain bike. I thought of it as the better choice.
But I am really liking these peace symbol ornaments. They come in a set of two in 12″ and 4″. Both are made from copper plated stainless steal and can be used indoors our out. I love how they are showing the larger in the window attached with garland. In this time of horrible struggle between all of the countries of the world, I think this symbol has even more meaning.

I’ve added a timely article to today’s post as it is something we are trying to figure out here at our house. Now I grew up taking my younger brother out trick-or-treating so I still got to go. But I do think 7th grade was the last year I actually doorbelled. My daughter wanted to go with a group of friends downtown and we just didn’t see any point to that. It’s not like when we grew up. Yikes, did I just say that. lol No, but really. Hubby went out most of the night, but all of the cops knew him and his Dad, so they called his house before he even got home if he was doing anything wrong. So this year we are grabbing some of her friends to go out with us. Then we will tell her it was the last year for it. Looks like the halloween party will have to be on halloween night from now on. That will solve the whole thing.
Enjoy the article!

Monday is opening game for Detroit so my Aunt if off to watch the BBaller play in his first real NBA game! Super exciting. She is going to
grab the NBA package and have some parties so we can all watch together. That will be great times and I’ll look forward to that. I guess they have built up a ton of hype around him and he’s become quite the celebraty over there. That just rocks and it couldn’t happen to a better kid.

OMG, did I just say pre-plan? I did and no I don’t usually follow the pre-plan idea. Mostly because I don’t find stuff until the day AFTER the holiday. lol But I hit the jackpot this time! I found an awesome Halloween ebook with recipes, party planning, ghost stories and more.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the rest of you motha’s out there.
We’ve had a day of nothing. WOOHOO Got up late, ran out for coffee’s while my daughter was making us all breakfast. French toast, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. Boy, she’s amazing.
Then opened presents. Big card from son with flowers in it that have different coupons written on them. I already used the free car wash. lol I even got a detailing out of the deal! Daughter made me a beautiful cutting board in woodshop. I’ve got to get a pic of it, cause the different woods she used are awesome.

The kids are out for mid-winter break. I love that cause we don’t have to get up early. But it’s going to be rough for scheduling. I think we’ve got it under control and thankfully my Mom is available so I don’t have to pay a sitter for the entire week.
I can just feel that it is going to drag on. I am so worn out. I know I’ve been staying up way too late for too long. But still, come on! It’s not the staying up late so much as the getting up early a couple of times a week that is killing me. I guess I need to get to bed earlier than 2am if I’m getting up at 6. Who’d have thunk it?

When do I have time to plan and hold a kids party? Oh man, I love having them cause the kids get so excited, but it’s so much work! We’ve decided to go with next Sat. and he has chosen a rock-n-roll theme.
It will be a slumber party again, but not so many kids this time. I’ve already warned him to start cleaning his room. lol It’s a wreck. Who the hell has bought him all of these toys? He doesn’t even play with them anymore. Ok, he actually does. But normally he’s glued to the playstation or doing homework.
