Halloween Dates

Halloween Dates

Posted on 31 October 2010 by queen of all

Yep, these are my big dates for Halloween. Hubby is working and both the kids went to friends houses. I have 2 more hours before I go pick them up. I’m feeling really unfestive and even turned the porch light off. I usually love Halloween, but it’s really different this year.

For one thing it’s on a school night so that stinks. Then the kids are just too old to trick-or-treat anymore. We did get some costume stuff for the youngest, but the oldest is just at a get-together at her boyfriends house with some friends. eww, that’s weird to type!

Happy Mother’s Day

Posted on 10 May 2009 by queen of all

Ah that first sip of coffee is heaven isn’t it? I just grabbed a cup and took it back to bed. This feels decadent. It’s not, I just let the oldest watch movies and sleep on the couch and I don’t want to wake her up. lol But still I’m cuddly, warm back in my bed with a great cup of coffee and my little dogs. We’re just waiting for the day to start. For hubby to come home and then for breakfast to get made. Then we’ll go pick up the youngest from my Mom’s house and be home for the rest of the day.

I’m Cranky

Posted on 03 January 2009 by queen of all

I really have no reason to be, I just am. I think it’s just been a long holiday vacation with the kids. I have to say they have been truly great, honestly, I couldn’t be more lucky for how well this extended vacation has gone with our being so housebound with the snow.

Tomorrow will be 19 days of vacation for them. Not cool, it’s time for some order and going back to school. Then add on to that the fact I’ve missed so much work because of snow and holidays. I’m floundering offline right now and it’s keeping me up of course.

Happy New Year!

Posted on 31 December 2008 by queen of all

I did a quick theme change.  Can you tell I’m in need of a permanent theme?  Yes, I know it’s obvious.  I just have this one up for a few days to welcome in the new year and then I will get to work on the real theme I want to keep around and alter for the holidays.

2008 has been a big year.  It’s been super high and super low.  But the one thing is has totally been is the coming together of my relationship and how much my husband does mean to me.  For this I can only be grateful for all that 2008 has thrown at me.  We will and can survive anything now.  We’ve been extremely tested and I’m very happy to find out that we run to each other instead of away.

Gingerbread Houses

Posted on 10 December 2008 by queen of all

I love gingerbread!  It smells yummy, the little people are so cute, and you decorate them and the houses with candy!  What in the world could be better?

My house gets decorated in gingerbread for Christmas.  If I have a theme it is gingerbread.  I use theme loosely as I have so many hand-me-down and sentimental decorations that my house is in no means decorated to look like a show room.  lol

First Holidays

Posted on 27 November 2008 by queen of all

My friends sent me a phone pic from hawaii when they ate breakfast from their balcony this morning.  It was 29 degrees at the time here so I apreciated the pic to make my phone wallpaper and to warn them it was going to truly suck next week when they get home.  lol  What else is a sister to do?  I said I was jealous, but thank you for sending me the pic, it looks so cool on my phone!

My Bday Party!

Posted on 10 February 2008 by queen of all

Partied like a rockstar.  Umm, yes, embarrassed myself.  But thankfully I believe most of the sober people left before I got really bad.  lol  Everyone that stayed the whole night was just as drunk as I was.  So they won’t remember!  Some friends stopped by at the end of the night so we didn’t have to pay for cab rides home.  SWEET!  They taxi’d all our drunk butts home.  What are friends for huh?  Boy do we owe them now.  I’m sure they’ll be calling us next weekend to pick them up.  lol  They better call us when they need a ride!  That was so nice of them.

Youngests party

Posted on 02 February 2008 by queen of all

Well his bday party is on right now.  8 nerf guns and 4 10 year olds.  lol  Guitar hero II and halo III are loaded in different rooms.  Hubby and I are hiding in our room watching Rob and Big on Mtv.  lmao

Actually it’s turned out really good.  They have complete run of the house and they all get along really well.  Hubby and I both played guitar hero on the easiest level, I wanted the dummy level because I’m so good at video games (roflmao) but they said this was the lowest level possible.  I did 50% so I think I rock no matter how much they boo’d me!  I beat hubby so that’s all that matters.

New Year’s plans

Posted on 28 December 2007 by queen of all

Well hubby has to work and that doesn’t mess up our plans any.  We don’t do anything on this holiday because it’s just too scary to be out on the roads.  Some day soon I hope we can go out to Seattle for the night and live it up.  But for now, it’s all good.

Hiding presents

Posted on 18 December 2007 by queen of all

Wow, I can’t believe where people will hide presents. We are lucky in the fact that we have my parents close by and we can store whatever we want at our best friends house if needed. But what in the world makes you think it’s a smart idea to store presents in your car?
