The Bowl That is Super

Everyone’s plans are in full swing out there in football land. Ours are as well. Low key as they may be, it’s still the way we are celebrating one of my favorite national holidays.

I woke up with hubby and then read in bed after he went to work. Then I fell back asleep and woke up at 10! WOW. I’ve never done that before. Thanks to my Kindle Paperwhite. I never got out of bed and didn’t turn any lights on. I think that’s an awesome Sunday morning ritual to start. Of course, it will only happen so often. His last Sunday for a while is next weekend. Days of the week worked change every set.

Super Bowl Plans

football stadiumSo conflicted. You know how much I love football but I’m a hobbit right now and want to stay that way.

This week has had a lot going on and today starts a really busy 5 days.  Today is first day of sub-districts for wrestling and even though son’s a freshman he gets to go. Hoping brackets are in our favor and he moves on to tomorrow. That’s two very full days of non-stop adrenaline as we watch the boys wrestling. It’s do or die on to the road to state. I’ll be wiped out by Saturday night and completely pooped on Sunday morning.

FUCK YOU DENVER!

What a lot of awesome football yesterday!

Well not if you are a cheesehead or a bronc but for the rest of us it was awesome.

I hate Denver. Only team I hate more than them is Dallas. Since I’m a D line girl I’m looking for Ray Lewis to get a ring and Baltimore to keep on going. Which made it even more amazing to watch Denver go down.

Wrestling Let Down

girls wrestlingWell not a full let down, just from the busyness of hosting tournaments. Our school and wrestling booster club host a boys tournament the first Saturday in December and then a girls classic the second. This year I’d agreed to coordinate the girls tournament because it was supposed to be my daughters last year of wrestling. Have I talked about that one?

Just in case I did here’s the quick version. She quit. Two years of kicking ass and learning so much and she decides not to wrestle her senior year. My heart is broke and there isn’t anything I can do about it. The end, move along Momma.
