I’m going to help some of you out with your social networking skills. I know these end up being a little ranty, but I’m going to try not to get so cranky as I write this one.

There are quite a few programs out there to keep track of your tweets. Most of these now will also post to your facebook and other accounts. Here’s the deal, when they post to your facebook or plurk account, it is obvious that it’s a tweet after just a few posts. Especially if you say hey tweets or hit an @reply.

If I have you on my FB account, it honestly pisses me off to read that you couldn’t take the time to do a separate post. I may be following you on both twitter and FB. So now I get exactly the same posts to each account. Why do I need to follow you on both of them then? I don’t, we’ll see if I care enough to drop you from one or the other accounts, or if I’m in a really bad mood…? Possibly both places.

Being able to check on all your accounts in one spot is awesome. But don’t send the exact same info to both accounts or you are doing more damage than good for yourself. Keep track of your accounts easily with these programs and then join us in social networking and update with current and different info to each.

I am behind even farther. Did anyone following really have a doubt I’d say that? lol Oh wait, you don’t know me THAT well yet I run on Indian time. If I don’t run on Indian time than I claim to run on Island time. Long time family jokes and yes I fit both of them. I am never late for anything because everyone is happy to see me and I make up for it once I get there Plus we never miss a ferry to the Island, we’re just early for the next one. Half full instead of half empty? YEP, you got it. That is me and if you want to be around me for long then you will be in the half full glass as well. I don’t have energy for your negative half empty rules.

But the challenge. I’m loving this challenge. I love that it comes to my inbox daily with each lesson. Yes, I am way behind. Like 10 days behind I think. But no worries, I see all of those posts that I need to open up and do and it makes me work harder to get through the daily emails so I can. Today I worked through 3 or 4 of the emails.

I’m loving how I am doing the right thing so far all the way. No doubt about it. My problem is consistency I’m sure. So I can’t just promote this blog, do all of this 31 day blog challenge and then move on. I have to keep it up every month, keep driving traffic forward and move my biz ahead.

I know that I am cleaning out sites for this very reason. I don’t have time to put on all of my sites anymore. Not with the quality I expect to go up.

Well today I woke up with the stomach ache that my son had yesterday. He still stayed home again today, but tomorrow he’ll be fine. I hate stomach aches, but I was also just so tired. We slept in until around 11 and then I took a nap at 2 for another couple hours. JEESH, that’s so not normal. So this has led to my blog post tonight about my top reasons for working for myself.

1. Kids schedule – For those that don’t know, my husband is a firefighter. This leaves me with 24+ hour shifts with him not home. I must be available to take care of the kids, transport them to everywhere, and his schedule is different every week so I have to be the one to get it done.

2. Sick days – When I’m sick I can cancel and reschedule everything. This can work for and against me as I do have the power to reschedule my days to play as well. lol But days like today, it was great to have no worries. I rescheduled everyone for tomorrow quickly and went back to bed.

3. My Own Terms – This is for both my on and offline work. I have complete control of my business. If I’m working too much, I lower my client base, if I’m in need of a little more in a month, then I take on more. If I don’t care for working with certain people, then I don’t have to. But I work on my own terms.

4. Business Write offs – I do try and plan some trips around work so I can write some of it off. I definitely love being able to write off my mileage and other little things here and there, like taking clients out to lunch or dinner for goal planning sessions and to help them with food choices when they go out alone.

5. Vacations and Days Off – I don’t have to schedule my vacations or my days off each week around anyone but my family. For the last few months I’ve taken Thursdays and Sundays off from my training biz. But after ski season ends, those days may change.

I do have a lot of reasons NOT to work for myself, but I’ll keep this a more positive post.

Yep, I joined in late as ever. I live on Indian time. My relatives just figured that out after 36 years of loving me, so I’m not about to hold it against you. If it wasn’t Indian time, then it would be island time cause we have to catch a ferry to get to the other side of my maternal family. NO WIN, always late, NOT MY FAULT! As you can surely see, I was doomed. lol

Ok, but that has nothing to do with this post, except I’m behind on starting the challenge. I am excited to get going on it and grow this blog. Especially now that it’s all beautified and I have my advertising graphics ready to go!

One problem is, I haven’t been hitting other blogs regularly. Although I’m jumping the gun, it’s time to go hit day #1 and see what I’m supposed to do.

So I’m seriously trying to figure out who made everyone the twitter police? Why do you feel like they know the twitter law?

Now yes, I’m taking this most recent post as the one to pick apart. I’m sure they won’t mind as I’m giving lot’s of linky love for it and I realize that the blog editor is only passing on an article so it’s not personal. K, I hope that everyone who puts up opinion posts online realizes it’s not personal when we disagree, that’s just a fact of life.

But now the ripping must come down. lol I did my PC post on Working WAHM and this is of course my unPC post! Language may rain down, so you have been forewarned and honestly I shouldn’t have to warn too many of you by this point. lol

First of all, the blog post in question at twitip.com is someone that I do follow on twitter. You too can follow at @problogger. I suggest it, I get good info there or at least info that I can use for blog posts huh? ROFLMAO!

Since I have broken down the majority of the 8 ways to piss off twitterverse separately I’d like to ask just what the hell I’m supposed to put up on twitter?

I’m not allowed to post about my personal life because no one gives a shit, I’m not allowed to put up my blog posts because no one wants to read them and I’m not supposed to put up links because who knows what the links are for. Hmm, I want to know why you are on twitter?

Here’s the deal. I have 1017 followers. I follow 373 people. I haven’t had any unfollowers in a long time that weren’t spam programs that since I didn’t follow back then unfollowed. In fact I haven’t had any unfollowers since I started telling people to interact with me so they could get a follow. Guess what?! I can go through my 373 tweets that I follow and honestly remember the fact that I have tweeted with them. THIS IS CALLED, wait for it…. SOCIAL NETWORKING!

I tweet to my target market and I tweet for personal reasons. I have multiple accounts now so I don’t tweet much personal info to my biz only accounts. Guess what, there is very little interaction on those and I don’t expect any results from those accounts.

Guess where I get my best links, resources, blog traffic and more? Oh, from my twitter account that is very confused between personal and business! That’s right, the more personal info the more traffic I get. The more followers I get. The more clicks to my sites and linky love and traffic.

So if you have a problem with hearing about what I’m making for dinner, then you need to fucking unfollow! I’m so tired of people telling me how I’m supposed to do things correctly. WTF do you know? I love my twitter followers because they are following ME. The real me! Not some PC me that isn’t real, but the person that is not afraid to explain how she feels and tell you that guess what, I work online and I make money online and I have issues and worry like you. I love fitness one day and hate it the next. I have issues that are just like everyone else.

Social networking is real. If you want to put up a front then you are in the wrong format and maybe you should wait for web 5.0 to come out cause you are going to miss out on the point of web 2.0-4.0.

HOLY COW, I’m beyond excited. Such an incredible feeling to know that people read my blogs and like them enough to vote for me.

So this is my call to action. It’s time to get my blogs rocking and more organized in 2009. It’s time to take them past the next level. This award was exactly the kick in the ass I needed to get back to my blogs and make them work for me.

K, it’s Tuesday and I’m here to post another positive post. Can I make a full week of all positive posts? lol Like I mentioned this is my venting place and I guess you’ll just to know the offline side of me now. Cause offline I work almost all in the positive.

So positives for today? Wow, so many. Had a great coaching session online, got a lot crossed off a clients to-do list. I downloaded a new program that a client and I are going to work on. I opened up an old site that I’ve put to the side because of lack of time to build it and remembered how excited I am to get to work on it and found the program easier to work with than I remembered. I contacted a possible new client about a little bit of work needed.

Offline it was new member tours. Had a great tour with a lady that’s had training previously and is excited to do the fitness challenge in Jan. plus may take my class on Saturdays. Then had a fun family tour and I can see them being people I need to stay in contact with. Mom I think may need some training, but she was actually making motions towards the girls possibly. I’d like to see Mom take the “selfish” motion and get it for herself. The kids will be just fine, they were not obese or even close. I like to help Mom’s realize they are worth the time and money to be healthy.

Then we just watched biggest loser and I can’t talk about that or I’ll lose my positive post here. But to be uber positive, Jillian didn’t get skunked in the finale. That’s right bitches, she’s gonna win. Michelle is gonna win, she’s gonna, she’s gonna, she’s gonna. ROFLMAO Go Michelle! One week left to find out. I barely cried while watching today so that’s a big positive as well. lol

It’s late and everyone needs to get to bed so I’ll close this until tomorrow’s positive post.
