Rib Injury

Just an update. I’m not 3 weeks into my 4-8 weeks of recovery on my ribs. ROFLMAO I went back to the docs on Tuesday and am so thankful I did. I got a prescription anti-inflammatory and percoset. The vicodin did very little for me except give me insomnia. I’m allergic to advil so these anti-inflammatories were really needed and I was feeling much better by the end of the night. I woke up this morning having had a full-pain-free sleep. Awww, it was so great. Today I actually felt like I will recover. It sure hasn’t seemed like it before now. lol

Fireproof DVD Giveaway

Well hubby’s at work and he’s already been warned that even though I hear the movie isn’t that great acting wise and maybe not even story wise, but the message is still there. If you are looking to get in on a free Dvd, then go to my Firefighter Wife blog. You’ll be taken to the post.

I’m looking forward to watching it just because of the message. As a fire wife, I’ve already been through some seriously rough times. Rougher than most departments because of the in-the-line-of-duty death of our Chief. No, I’m not patting my own back. I’m truly saying that even though I’ve only been a fire wife for 8ish years, 2 of those paid, I’ve seen way more and walked through more than I hope ANY other wife has gone through.

Well some of you may not think this is that remarkable, but I’m over excited about it and that’s all that matters.  OH WAIT, my sushi addict best friends will freak out as well, so that makes it important.  lol  It was surprisingly easy to make.

I made my first sushi rolls today.  Not only did I make my first rolls, but hubby made a roll as well!  We are seriously ready to have our own party and show off our skills.  Previously I could spend about $20 take-out on sushi rolls.  Lately I haven’t been very excited about my rolls even though I’m a total addict.

Remind me why?

My husband is such a brat, yes remind why I keep him around.  Oh yeah, he does dishes, cooks and cleans the bathrooms.  That’s right ;)   LOL

I’m super busy today on and offline, but I knew he didn’t have any food when he ran out the door.  I’ve told him he’s not allowed to do that because they make horrible decisions and I’m tired of the weight gain.  So I of course told him to let me know if he wanted food.

Twitter Etiquette?

So I’m seriously trying to figure out who made everyone the twitter police?  Why do you feel like they know the twitter law?

Now yes, I’m taking this most recent post as the one to pick apart.  I’m sure they won’t mind as I’m giving lot’s of linky love for it and I realize that the blog editor is only passing on an article so it’s not personal.  K, I hope that everyone who puts up opinion posts online realizes it’s not personal when we disagree, that’s just a fact of life.

I’m Cranky

I really have no reason to be, I just am. I think it’s just been a long holiday vacation with the kids. I have to say they have been truly great, honestly, I couldn’t be more lucky for how well this extended vacation has gone with our being so housebound with the snow.

Tomorrow will be 19 days of vacation for them. Not cool, it’s time for some order and going back to school. Then add on to that the fact I’ve missed so much work because of snow and holidays. I’m floundering offline right now and it’s keeping me up of course.

Scrapbooking is as much therapuetic as it is an artform. After the stress of the holidays I want to help more people enjoy the art of scrapbooking and take time for themselves.

The Scrap Facts Guide was written to be easy to follow. You will begin scrapbooking quickly. For the more advanced scrapbooker this can help you get out of a rut. Many times we just have to get back to the basics to find our creativity again!
