Gingerbread Houses

I love gingerbread!  It smells yummy, the little people are so cute, and you decorate them and the houses with candy!  What in the world could be better?

My house gets decorated in gingerbread for Christmas.  If I have a theme it is gingerbread.  I use theme loosely as I have so many hand-me-down and sentimental decorations that my house is in no means decorated to look like a show room.  lol

This year the kids won’t be making gingerbread houses at school because they have gotten older.  I’m used to decorating the dining room table with them and their huge sheets of aluminum foil covered cardboard plates.  The kids have just as much fun making them as I do looking at their goofy imperfections.  So this year we will have to take the time and make them at home.
