Happy New Year!

I did a quick theme change.  Can you tell I’m in need of a permanent theme?  Yes, I know it’s obvious.  I just have this one up for a few days to welcome in the new year and then I will get to work on the real theme I want to keep around and alter for the holidays.

2008 has been a big year.  It’s been super high and super low.  But the one thing is has totally been is the coming together of my relationship and how much my husband does mean to me.  For this I can only be grateful for all that 2008 has thrown at me.  We will and can survive anything now.  We’ve been extremely tested and I’m very happy to find out that we run to each other instead of away.

Awards Rock

I’ve never been nominated for a blog award before. Just the being nominated was a huge honor. But to actually be a winner and have Working WAHM be in the top 10 WAHM blogs at Sparkplugging WAHM 2.0! HOLY COW, I’m beyond excited. Such an incredible feeling to know that people read my blogs and like them enough to vote for me.

So this is my call to action. It’s time to get my blogs rocking and more organized in 2009. It’s time to take them past the next level. This award was exactly the kick in the ass I needed to get back to my blogs and make them work for me.

Wanna truly know me?

This was hubby’s ringtone for quite a while and it’s my son’s (he had Daddy’s phone now) for me. Hmm, may not be appropriate for son’s of course, but he’s just following what he knows Dad does. Love me or leave me, I’m a whiskey girl…

It says turns up nose and beer and such and that’s not true, but I’m a whiskey girl through and through. Crown is my whiskey of choice. Shots with a chaser of coke here and there unless I’m being good and then it’s crown and coke’s instead of shots. I’m no girly-girl. I like my whiskey and I’m offended by real woman that can’t hang. Tequila shots have salt and lime to hide the flavor, whiskey is as whiskey does. Hang or leave the shot. lol

Wii and Wii Fit contest

I started surfing around the internet looking for contests to enter and came across the best one ever!  I have never specifically gone searching for contests, but I’m killing some time between clients at the gym and thought…why not?

Thankfully I did because I found Mile High Mama’s Wii and Wii Fit Giveaway! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I even came across the post before the deadline. BONUS! It’s open to enter until Dec. 20th, so get over there quick to enter. There is literally nothing to lose. Positive Post week finale

I missed posting on saturday and sunday, but I’ll group them both together tonight in my last “has to be positive” post.  lol

It was awesome to see my aunt’s!  I’ve missed my youngest aunt so much and now I know where she lives and have her phone number.  She can run, but I’ll be able to find her.  lol  Always good to see my other aunt, since she lives in Cali now.  My cousin was there with her 4 kids.  3, 2 and the new twin girls that are only 5 weeks old.  Even at 5 weeks my kids were bigger when I had them.  UGH, tiny babies scare me.  Got one dumped in my arms when she woke up so I didn’t get a chance to hem and haw my way out of it.  Oh it was dumped in my arms by my hubby BTW lol  My aunt was hilarious and said my cousin had two so we wouldn’t have to fight over who got to hold the baby.  ROFLMAO  So true.

Will is snow?

We are waiting on this all important answer.  Of course, the youngest was devistated to find out that the weather report had changed a lot in the last 24 hours.  They have been predicting the end-all-be-all winter storm to hit tonight/early tomorrow.  lol

Since this is my positive post week you can guess my thoughts on this right?  I love a first snow.  It’s the weekend so we don’t have to worry about school and I only have to go 6 miles down the road to work in the morning.  No big deal and I have 4 wheel drive if need be.  lol  Oh and it’s flat on the way to work.    See, positive post.

Almost didn’t make it

I am up late having drinks with hubby and almost didn’t make my positive post today.  It’s 10:54 and I’m still making it darn it.  lol

We’re watching Boston Legal and ranting and raving about the world.  I love these nights.  Just wish we didn’t have to get up tomorrow morning.  lol Oh well, these nights are worth it.

Well it’s 11:19 and we are still up chatting and being dumb.  It’s all good for us, but I am not going to make this post if I don’t click publish.  roflmao

Gingerbread Houses

I love gingerbread!  It smells yummy, the little people are so cute, and you decorate them and the houses with candy!  What in the world could be better?

My house gets decorated in gingerbread for Christmas.  If I have a theme it is gingerbread.  I use theme loosely as I have so many hand-me-down and sentimental decorations that my house is in no means decorated to look like a show room.  lol

Keeping on the positive week

K, it’s Tuesday and I’m here to post another positive post. Can I make a full week of all positive posts? lol Like I mentioned this is my venting place and I guess you’ll just to know the offline side of me now. Cause offline I work almost all in the positive.

So positives for today? Wow, so many. Had a great coaching session online, got a lot crossed off a clients to-do list. I downloaded a new program that a client and I are going to work on. I opened up an old site that I’ve put to the side because of lack of time to build it and remembered how excited I am to get to work on it and found the program easier to work with than I remembered. I contacted a possible new client about a little bit of work needed.

Going Positive

Don’t be afraid, it’s still me. I know how much this blog can be negative and I’ll give a little of why. I’m not a negative person. In my offline life I truly don’t complain or talk about my issues enough. So this blog is and always has been my outlet. Well now that leads it to feeling and reading like I’m such a negative person. I don’t like that.

Firemom is going to be positive this week. I’m going to join her. This week is dedicated to the zillions of incredible things in my life. Starting today!
