Parents are Retarded

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: party

K, the party went well up until a couple of hours ago.  We didn’t have a couple of the boys spend the night because I just can’t handle them.  So we had them come over this morning and then figured up to the lasor tag and home for only like a couple of hours total.  No biggy.  Well the party ended an hour ago and one of them has no ride and no contact to call.  He’s a little liar so we can’t keep track of wtf he’s telling us.  I’m so beyond pissed.  The dad barely stopped when he was dropped off!  If you don’t know what time the party ends, then get the hell out of the car and come and talk to us.  Especially since we were at the door!  ARGHHHH, did I mention I’m pissed?

So now we are just trying to make sure one of the sisters is home and we’re dropping him off.  This is total shit.  I went and picked up my daughter so we didn’t have to leave the house again.  The party has now gone on for 24 hours, which would be fine if it was one of the other two kids that stayed overnight.  lol

These two kids (one just went home btw) were the first to complain about being hungry at the lasor tag.  Good grief, does no one feed their kids anymore before they drop them off?  We’d eaten breakfast like an hour before and then had cake before we all took off, so our group wasn’t hungry.  Course they were.  k, need to go watch the game so I can get over my anger that won’t do any good!

Here’s my advice:  If you don’t know anything about the party, then don’t just drop off your god damned kids!

oh i would be very pissed myself - i know because i’ve had parents do the same thing to me. luckily though, so far we’ve only dealt w/ girls and none of the lying kind, rofl!

one i ended up taking to her grandmother’s right next door or else we would have had to cancel our plans to head to the beach house afterwards (a whole state away). i didn’t like letting her at someone else’s house but it was her grandmother and she did live next door. not to mention the grandmother says she went there every day after school. so okay mom - let ME know these things! i made her call me as soon as she talked w/ her mom. although, i must say, grandma was pretty pissed, rofl! not that she had to take the girl - at the mom who totally disapeared. so i have a feeling mom got an ear full, lmao!

anyway … i ALWAYS find out the details. dd get so ticked at me because i won’t take her word for it yet. not that i think she’ll lie to me, i just want to make sure! i couldn’t even imagine dropping her off w/out making sure. although, we’re talking different ages though too, aren’t we? hmm .. now i can’t remember, maybe not dd is 11 and so is your ds? wait, he just turned 12, didn’t he?

but like i was saying, i always go inside and talk w/ the parents BEFORE i leave. and they usually have two phone numbers to reach me - my home phone AND my cell.

i remember dropping dd off one time and i was talking to the mom. i was getting ready to tell her my numbers and she’s like oh, i guess i should get phone numbers just in case, huh? Huh?? wth? may i say that dd was one of the last to arrive? sure, our girls are all old enough to know their own phone numbers but - uh, what happens if God forbid, they’re not able to talk or respond? (worst case senerio here but still, it could happen…)

lmao! okay, i’m rambling again but i just remembered one other party where the mom made us fill out what looked to me like one of those emergency cards/forms you fill out at the beginning of every school year. i swear all the questions were the same. well, except for asking for our health insurance numbers, but let me tell you, as i was filling it out … i was waiting for it, lmao! AND she took it a step farther - the following year she had another party and she handed them back out incase something needed to be updated!

yeah, kind of a cool idea - especially w/ all the different allergies and stuff out there - and it never hurts to be prepared but uh, i think she went just a wee bit far, lmao!
