Busy Momma

Bitchy Friday, I haven’t posted here in a little while.  And guess what…?  It’s freaking friday!  HMMM, let me think of a bitch.

Oh wait, I was already coming here to bitch a little.  I was actually coming here to talk a little relationships, but bitchy friday came up at the top of the catagories.  lol

I will keep it quick.  We had it out on Christmas Eve.  Yes, cringe, holy shit that’s bad timing.  Umm, you can thank some good old whiskey for that timing, but whatever.  I was also pmsing at the time, so it ALLLLL flew out of my mouth.  But, the bitch is, now it’s all out and there has been no makeup sex.  hmmm, now I’m worried.  So yes, TMI for those that are friends, but you’ve already been warned that it might happen.  lol

Franchises are hot. Honestly, if you have the money to invest in a franchise it is a good idea. Just do your research first. My gym is a franchise and it rocks. They got in as the first for our state and have been incredibly happy ever since.

But if we are online, then what is better than a computer help franchise opportunity? Oh wait, a computer help company that supplies the techs for you!  Yes, that would be even better.  All you need is managerial skills to set up what your techs will do.  The company even finds the techs for you.  As with any business opportunity, I suggest you do a lot of research to make sure it is the right business for you.  But this is a great one to check into.

Well hubby has to work and that doesn’t mess up our plans any.  We don’t do anything on this holiday because it’s just too scary to be out on the roads.  Some day soon I hope we can go out to Seattle for the night and live it up.  But for now, it’s all good.

So they aren’t sure at the station if they are going to have a big dinner or not.  Since they know it will be busy, they need to have someone there to cook.  I’ve totally volunteered and I hope another wife can come down too.  It would be much more fun  to hang out with others.  Or at least I say that now.  I haven’t met every wife on B shift yet.  lol  But I’m going to throw myself out there to the wolves and see what happens.  If nothing else it will give me a good blog post right?

Then a friend (gasp) yes I said a friend,  may come over to spend it with the kids and I.  She doesn’t know if she has to work yet or not.  But I’m going to hound her to come over.  Martini’s and junk food!  UGH, I can feel the pounds hitting my gut already and the pounding hangover.  lol  But we will all be safe at home atleast.  As a matter of fact I’m going to send her an email to hound her about it right now.  I do need some local friends. 

Last weekend Santa came through with the fire department.  Now my kids are 12 and 10, so they know that it was only Santa’s helper.  But they were talking about how cute it was to see the little kids get all excited and jump up and down.  SIGH, yep, old moment.  My kids are old enough to recognize the fun little things in others that they don’t feel anymore.

I swear if I ever show any incling of turning into my Mother, you must hunt me down and shoot me.  I swear to God!  The woman is fucking bi-polar and the world now revolves around her.  I didn’t grow up with this woman she has turned into.  There are times I really worry that she needs her mental health checked.  I’ve even mentioned it to my Aunt.

But my Mom was really a “C” word yesterday and I hate that word with a passion, but she truly was.  I’m not going to type out the whole conversation because that would end up in another one of those long posts and I really don’t need to hash it out.  lol  Needless to say my cell phone was thrown across the suburban after I got the abrupt, “I’ll see you when you get down here, bye”.  I get down there and she acts like nothing has happened.  While I just want to run across the room and rip her damned hair out of her head!!!

She was pissed because the kids can’t go to her brothers house with them on Sunday.  My family has gone over to the island the Sunday before Christmas, since before I was born.  I don’t go very often because it’s over $30 to take the damn ferry.  I also don’t really care to see my Aunt and Uncle because of what happened after my Great Aunt passed away.  STINGY FUCKERS!  My Aunt left them everything and we are talking over a million dollars in property alone.  She was old school and you leave everything to the oldest, we get that.  Well maybe we could have gone into the house and gotten some pictures, momentos, anything?  ARGHHH, I’m getting angry about it now and that’s another long story.

Anyway, hubby’s schedule is wack now because of the fire dept.  His side of the family decided we would go out to dinner for Christmas and we aren’t doing gifts for the adults.  Just go eat and have some fun without anyone having to cook and clean.  SUPER!  I’m all over that, especially since we are going tothe casino.  Course we will have the kids so we can’t go to the floor, but we’ll work something out.  lol

Rambling on…of course they all planned this for Sunday.  My Mom was pissed and of course she has no social skills so she’s just being a bitch about it.  Hmmm, the kids can go with you (when we will be spending Christmas day with her, so it’s not that they won’t see her) to your brothers that I don’t even like anymore, or go see their other Grandma and Grandpa.  WHO THINKS THAT’S A CHOICE?  It’s so not even an option.  Except the fact that if I send them with my parents then we could go hit the casino with Mom.  lol  But now it’s pure stubborness that I can’t let them go with her.

I love her, but she needs to be put in her place.  Ever since she turned 50 she just thinks she can say and do whatever she wants.  Plays the damn martyr for her shitty childhood, etc.  ARGHHH, I’m going to go jump on the summit trainer.  I’m so pissed off again!  I need to go burn some of this negative energy before I call her and have it out.  Wouldn’t do any good, so why bother?

Everyone knows a pen thief right? One great way to promote your biz is to purchase pens with your company info on them. Especially if you can get a good tag line on it also. In my business I can use many promotional products that still have to do with the fitness industry.

If you have your own business then I HIGHLY suggest checking out Gimmee’s promotional products. There are 1000’s of products and they are cheap enough that you can actually afford to buy them. Quantities start at only 50. In the spring I want to order some of the insulated lunch sacks to give to clients. I’ll include my website info on it and then when they take it to the park or work, my info is there for all to see. As an incentive gift I can include a coupon for a local grocery store so they can purchase lunch stuff instead of going out to eat.

Of course pens are at the top of my list for January. I’m married to a pen thief and this has gotten me some very unique businesses to check out. The cool thing is if he hadn’t brought home the pen, I wouldn’t have known about them at all. lol Also this time of year is popular to give out calendars. You can purchase some of the small calendars starting at 28 cents a piece. Great way to advertise all year long!

WOOHOO, I survived!  This morning was my last early morning until Dec. 26th.  And that may even get pushed farther out.  lol  It depends on if our buddy comes over for Christmas dinner or not.  If he comes over, then there is no way I’m getting up at 4 am.  Although I could possibly still be up.  lmao

I only have sporadic appointments until Christmas and that is cool.  I mean I wish I did have a few more scheduled because then I could possibly get another check for training.  But this way I can wind down for the holidays, get the house cleaned up and plan some good eats.

I will stop in for a while today.  I am just wishing and hoping that I get one more new client before the end of the year.  I know after Christmas I will have better luck.  But again, I want a new check now!  lol

Franchises are hot! And with good reason. The odds of staying in business go up tremendously with the backing of a corporate entity. Buy choosing a franchise you are getting their tried and true business plan. You walk into the business with much less pre-planning involved.

One of the things to look for in a franchise is any and all fee’s that you will pay over the life of the business. Some are crazy high and some are very conservative. Do your research and check out many franchises for the category of business you want to own. Definitely don’t go jumping into the first one you like. Talk to other owners within the franchise. Get some dirt about them. If they are all happy-go-lucky about it, then look for someone else to talk about. There is no such thing as the perfect company. You want to know any issues you are getting into ahead of time so you can plan for them.

The gym I work out of is a franchise and they billing company sucks beyond belief. But the company is the best, so it is worth putting up with the billing company to have the incredible business backing. You know they will get a new billing company sometime soon when everyone complains enough. lol

Research, research, research.

Yes, I do use this as a normal boring ass blog frequently.  You get the exciting posts, you get the money posts, and you get my day to day crap as well.

It’s day 2 of my 3 early mornings and I’m doing quite well.  I had both appointments and managed to get one of them moving very well.  I’m going to have to kick the second one’s butt extra on Thurs. because she was slacking.  But that happens with 5:30 appointments sometimes.  It’s 9:09 and I’m about pooped out.

The house is quiet and the dogs are all sleeping.  I’ve hit some blog posts and feel like I’ve done some good today so far.  I do believe it’s time for a nap now.  I am getting sushi for lunch today and they don’t open until 11:30.  I can take a quick nap and still get some more done before heading over for take out.

Tomorrow is the first day of Christmas break so we don’t have to get up!  WOOHOOO  Unfortunately hubby and our best buddy will be home around 8:30 so that means we can’t sleep in too late.  But who am I kidding.  If I can sleep in until 7 or 7:30 I’ll be in heaven.  lol  So I will go take a nap so I don’t fall asleep during the biggest loser tonight and can stay up late working on scrapshop.  I used a different program and it’s down right now.  ARGHHH, to technology that doesn’t make my life easier!

Wow, I can’t believe where people will hide presents. We are lucky in the fact that we have my parents close by and we can store whatever we want at our best friends house if needed. But what in the world makes you think it’s a smart idea to store presents in your car?

There was just a news story about a guy that got $50,000 worth of stuff stolen from his car. FROM INSIDE HIS CAR!!! Now I’m not sure if it was presents or what as I really quit listening to the rest of the story since I think he deserves to just be out the stuff for being so stupid. But it did get us talking. What’s the cap on your stuff stolen from your car anyway? And what in the world did he have in there anyway? See why I couldn’t pay attention to the rest of the story much, I couldn’t get over the fact that someone could have that much stuff of value in their car. lol

But then there is the other problem after you do make the claim with your car insurance. How long are you going to get continued coverage and if you want to switch companies, who in the world wants your dumbass? But if you live or work in an area that has a lot of break ins, make sure you check out what your car insurance will cover.

Did I mention the idiot had $50,000 worth of stuff in the car? That’s more than I will even spend on a car. lol Not more than the car I want is worth, but more than I can justify spending on a car. lmao

Just play smart and don’t keep anything of value in your car. You are just asking for more holiday hassle when you have to deal with replacing it and repairs if they mess things up while getting into it. Is it worth it? No way.
