My Dad has to work on thanksgiving so we had dinner this afternoon. It worked well cause we ate at half-time. Dinner was good, but not great. My Mom tries, but she’s only an ok cook. Which is good in this instance because if I had two really good turkey dinners this week I’d gain way too much weight.
The turkey was yummy and the stuffing was better than normal. That’s all I need to be happy. Slather it up with gravy and we’re good to go. Yikes, gotta hit the gym hard this week!

I will take full responsibility that this blog USED to be personal. I didn’t really miss that it wasn’t anymore until a couple of months ago. I loved the anonymity of it all. Here’s the deal. I honestly need an adult vacation. I need to run away with my husband. We have a bunch of friends and family that I can’t wait to run away with. I hope you know the kind of friends/family I speak of. The kind that you can go on vacation with, but they won’t try to guilt you into spending every minute with them? Yes, I am blessed with the friends and family…now…that we can do that with.

Here’s where I’ve dreamed of going, THE END. It’s honestly the end all be all of vacations for me. I’d love to take the kids and that is an option, but first I want to go with just my hubby and enjoy the tropics. Yes, I am selfish and I’m not afraid to admit it. I want the full meal deal. I want to know that my vacation is done paid for and all I need is to have my waiter (yes, the hot one) bring me drinks and watch my hubby sleep beside me in the sun.

I swear if days are normal, they are hoe-hum, whatever. Today went fast, but it was totally scattered. I had thought to be home most of the day, but alas NO.
It’s 8:30pm right now and I got up at 4:30 for my first appointment of the day. I’ve gone jogging on the road, jogged on the treadmill. Had two appointments and lunch with my hubby and son that was a marvelous good time. Picked up daughter after letting her hang at the skate park with her friends after school. I can just about see the skate park from the gym and that rocks for piece of mind. Then we went and picked up the girls from my parents house!

Our credit is crap. We sacrificed it so I could pretty much be home with the kids when they were younger. I don’t regret being at home as much as I was and the fact that day care’s did not raise my kids. But we still could have made much better decisions during those years. While it’s too late to go back and fix it, there are still smart decisions that can be made now.
