Our credit is crap. We sacrificed it so I could pretty much be home with the kids when they were younger. I don’t regret being at home as much as I was and the fact that day care’s did not raise my kids. But we still could have made much better decisions during those years. While it’s too late to go back and fix it, there are still smart decisions that can be made now.

Shopping for offers to rebuild credit is the best option. Do not take the first card or loan that comes your way just because you are desperate to rebuild. I have gotten myself in trouble going with this option and now I get to dig myself out from that as well. Good grief, hoping I’ve learned everything I need to soon. But do shop out offers because there are many options out there for bad credit loans.

One thing that has helped us a lot in the last couple of years is to talk about it. The more we talked about it, the less we shoved it under the rug and drown more. The funny thing is we are not that in debt, we are just poor budgeters. Although I have to say, that I am now the only poor budgeter in the house.
