VH1

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: music

Is there anything better for the 30+ late nighter than VH1?  I’m watching the old 80’s videos right now and laughing my butt off as I sing at the top of my lungs.  Good thing the kids are sound sleepers and hubby is at work.  I LOVE the 80’s!  Bring them back.  I’ll do the punk side head haircut.  I’ll embarrass the heck out of my daughter as I go more punk than she can ever hope.  As I use my hot topic discount on myself and not her.  lmao

I suppose the problem is I should go to bed.  But this music just gets me revved up to work more.  lol  I blame VH1 for my lack of sleep tonight and my rambling.  You can emal annd complain to them.  For example, the butt hole surfers are on.  When is the last time you heard them on the radio, let alone saw their video?  AHHHHHHH, FLEA is on the video!

I LOVE THE 80’s as only a product of them could!  Cheesy videos galore.  :)  roflmao

PR?

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general

While I know and understand how useless google PR is, I still can not believe they haven’t finished their last circuit.  Cause obviously they don’t know that they are obsolete.  There are many sites that still use them as a point because they have nothing else to go by.  WTF?  Just do a few seconds research and you will see that PR has nothing to do with how much traffic or subscribers a site/blog has.  I don’t need to tell you that do I?

K, I do need to tell you that.  So here it is.  See that little green bar up in your banner that you thought mattered so much for your advertising?  Well it really doesn’t.  Google decided a long time ago to come up with their own rules on how important that green bar is.  Maybe it’s importance has to do with your adword advertising?  I know they have to get some money out of how it lands.  Cause there is nothing random about it.

Did I mention we have been waiting for it to update for over 2 months now so I can do paid blogging?

Mom’s Turn…

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, site reviews

was reading my mind. Now my family and friends that live locally do not have the url for this blog and are not internet junkies, so they wouldn’t think to google my name and find it. But as my blog gets more popular it is something I worry about. How can I keep this my personal blog with the venting needed and not worry about offending anyone? Ok, well I don’t really worry about that. My venting is my venting and if someone comes across it I don’t use names. Therefore they would have to know what they did something wrong to know that I was talking about them. LOLOL

But alas there are times I just need to get something off my chest and it’s too bad to put on my blog and risk it being found by the wrong person. Here is where Mom’s Turn comes in. She has created a blog where we Mom’s can post anonymously. (boy that word looks funky) You email her a post and she will put it up with no name or email addy on it. Once it’s off your chest, it won’t bother you as much. Win-win for everyone! Cool idea and I look forward to seeing some of the posts.

My babies are going home

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, relationships

:(  I’ve gotten so used to having these two little rugrats around all the time.  They have lived for us for 4 weeks now and I’m slowly becoming devastated as the night goes away.  She says she won’t be out of town for a while now, but that will mean a long talk with her.  Cause if here husband comes back up here to live and she won’t be gone much, then I have to go get some little one’s of my own.

I can’t believe how bad this is going to hit me tomorrow when I meet up with her.  The kids have lives now and hubby is always gone with his work.  These two little dogs have become my sad little life.  And while it’s sad, it is comforting right now.  I don’t have time for more of a life than them cuddlying up to me right now while I type away on my laptop and watch movies.  lol

So I’m bummed and there’s nothing I can do about it.  I’m very thankful that the kids don’t know they will only see them for a couple of hours tomorrow.  Thankfully hubby will be home by the time we get back from meeting up with my Aunt.  UGH, this is going to be horribly hard.

Personal blog?

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general

Well this personal blog used to mean it was personal and barely anyone read it. Umm, I understand that I have let a lot more friends that know about it and they in turn will let their friends know about it. But let me adjust a few seconds. lol I’m used to daily life of censoring what I say and not saying names by any means.  I work in a small town and grew up in the little bit bigger town next door.  lol But I worry when I want to vent about something that I can’t. Here is my answer to that…FUCK THAT!

K, I just wanted to make sure I weeded out a little. I know there are many that can not take my language and my honesty.  I just want to make sure and put my bad foot forward every once in a while.  lol  Boy that felt good, she’s still all mine!

Fishin is ok

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, relationships

Because it’s 80 today and I’m sitting here with my laptop without having to cast a single time!  Yippee!  Hubby has become a fisherman now.  lol
Before it was mostly just to go to the lake and spend time with the kids.  They would just go to the lake and cast and let it sit.  This is why I get
bored.  Cast and then just let it sit?  Are you kidding me?  You better give me some riddelin then cause I’m gonna be jumping all over the place.  I get
in trouble for talking too much, for knocking on the boat if we have one, and especially for casting too much.

Now let’s introduce river fishing.  Umm, DUH!  Why have we not been doing this the whole time?  Do we not live in the salmon central?  Do
I not love salmon?  Do we not spend a lot of money buying salmon?

Soo the big difference is you constantly cast.  Yippee, not so boring, something to do.  Ok, not this season I think, but I’m’ sure I’ll
be fishing next year sometime.  For now I’m very happy that I can sit here and work without being yelled at for being loud.

Our smoker has mysteriously disappeared from my parents house and that sucks.  But our neighbors are cool and are letting us borrow there’s.
Most of the salmon is “junk”, but it smokes up really well.  Since it’s so fresh, it actually grilled up really yummy too.  I guess the Silvers will be out
this weekend, so there will be a bunch of fish stocked up in the freezer.  woohooo, lot’s of smoked and fresh salmon this winter.  MMM,
smoked salmon chowder!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I also forgot to mention that we are out here fishing and the kids are in school.  Good thing he’s bringing them back tonight or
I think we’d seriously be busted.  Almost makes you feel guilty.  ALMOST

Thou Shalt Clean

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: cleaning, general, site reviews

Oh what a cool blog. Lara created Thou Shalt Clean just recently, but she is rocking with the useful posts. I am not a good house cleaner, in fact I hate to clean. But I wish I was a neat freak. I’d love it if I wasn’t embarrassed for people to stop by. Even though I have nothing to be embarrassed about, my friends say my house just looks loved. lol

Lara has started an awesome weekly challenge that I am looking forward to starting next week. She will have topics to work on and then we can share some linky love by posting about it. :) Guess I’ll have to start a cleaning catagory here on Busy Momma so I can complain about the cleaning. lmao

Follow along with me here and at Thou Shalt Clean. You’ll get a lot of quick tips to help you clean more efficiently. And be honest, does anyone WANT to spend a long time cleaning? Do you? YOU ARE ONE SICKY PUPPY! I’d rather be mountain biking!

Tired today

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, movies

I’m just warn out right now.  I have no idea why.  I got 7 hours sleep last night and that is more than usual.  lol  I’m not sure where the day went though and maybe that is part of the deal.  Oh wait, hormones are playing a part.  DUH, k, I know it now.  I can ignore it now.  I had diet coke at 3ish, but I guess it’s warn off by now.

Tomorrow is an odd day.  I’m gonna go work out first thing in the morning, then come home early.  I have quite a few appointments tomorrow and I’m hoping to get some new clients out of the four appointments.  I’m going in with the mindset of getting two out of the four to sign up with me.  Man do I need the money right now.  Car and personal loan are due this weekend and I’m no where near making them!!!  YIKES, I hate being stressed out about money.

I’ve got some fun off-shoots coming soon from this blog and I hope to have them completed by the end of this week.

I so need to go download new music on my zune.  Guess I’ll go hit that while I blog.  Oh and I have Georgia Rule and Delta Force to watch.  Oh wait, I’m half way through Black Snake Moon.  It’s been pretty good so far.  I’m just waiting for the kids to go to bed so I can decide what to do.  watch.

Big Brother is on tomorrow night and we are getting down to the wire.  Only 4 of them left and one week.  Sigh, it’s always so exciting and sad at the same time.  I know it will be over, but I can’t wait to see who will win.  bahahaha  Thank you CBS for putting Survivor on right away so I can get through my withdrawals quicker.  I’m looking forward to seeing how Ashley does.

Mommie’s Coffee Break

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, site reviews

Well for one I just love their template design and name. Hey, you’ll get me every time with coffee. Die hard coffee addict here and PROUD of it! lol Then the tagline for their blog is awesome as well, “Two Mom’s shooting the breeze about faith, love, and life…”.

Now here’s the kicker. They are both religious and I am not. I don’t know that I’ve ever talked about religion on here. Odd, that may be one of the only things I haven’t talked about. I’m not religious. I have mixed ideas. Not confused ideas, just a big mixture of faiths. My parents were brought up Catholic, but didn’t want us to grow up that way as the church scared the pants off them when they were little. Then I am Native American and feel a very strong connection with those beliefs. Being Irish and Indian there is a serious ancient belief in being one with the land. But I so digressed. I love to read about other’s views on religion. I like to learn what their reasoning is and also how it helps them with daily connections. I’m open to all religions as I know I can learn something new every day. I’m especially open to learning from the ladies on Mommie’s Coffee Break because I have gotten to know and respect Lara over the last several months. There’s already an awesome connection and I feel I could ask questions on their blog and get some honest answers to help me see their point of view.

But religion is not all their blog is about, and not even the main point of their blog. lol It is about being Mommy’s and getting all of it together. I’m always open to hearing how other Mom’s are making it work. Or just commiserating with them as we all stumble through it together. When I can get two Mom’s view points in one blog it is a major score for me. lol

Original Blog Review Game

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: business, general, tags

Here’s the deal. Google loves incoming links to your site and blog. Not just any links, but more importantly ONE WAY links. Meaning you’ve got to figure out how to get someone to link to you without having to put a link back somewhere. Not easy, but this is where this game comes in.

The rules are simple:

1. Pick a blog or site from the list below. Make sure it’s one you like, and don’t just settle on the first one! Take a look at several before you settle. Find one you REALLY like. You may also consider picking one that relates to your blog. The response will be much better.

2. Make a post on your blog about the site/blog you picked. Tell your readers why you like this site, what you hope to see, and anything else interesting that grabs your attention. It should be like a positive review of the site/blog you picked. If you cannot write something positive, please choose another blog. The idea is to give a glowing review of your favorite blog from the list. Blog posts MUST be at least 100 words.

3. Reply to this post and let us see your blog post and what site/blog you picked. You must post the exact link so we all can read it. THEN tell us which of your sites/blogs you want to be added to the list. We’ll update the list below as the posts come in.
That’s it! We hope this game will be never ending, and keep on supplying us all with new visitors and new incoming links. Plus we’ll be seeing some awesome blogs and meeting new friends! Yes you MAY add more than one review and more than one site (you get one site/blog posted per review post on your blog).
