She’s only requiring you to blog about why you don’t take time to pamper yourself or your favorite getaway moment. Nothing difficult. Then include the link to the contest so your friends can enter as well, leave a comment on the contest page and you are entered! My new step-babies

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general

The kids have been waiting forever. Ok, I have been as well. lol But today we finally got our turn at the joint custody of the girls. My Aunt inherited them from a couple that were like parents to her. She travels a lot but she has gotten used to having them around. So I offered a joint custody deal so she can travel as much as she wants and still have the girls when she is home. Her kids are all going to be out of the house in the next couple of months, so it will be hard on her.

Here is Sugar! The ironic thing is I’ve been wanting a teacup Chihuahua for over 2 years now. So here she is.

And this is Sweet Pea. More irony. This is the exact dog my daughter was researching to buy. She is a Maltese. I know it’s hard to tell, but she’s a tomboy that likes to go swimming in the lake. She can’t keep her long beautiful coat. lol She is cuddly and looks like a baby ewok. AWWWW, who can resist?

And of course I can’t leave our wonderful Brandy out of the pictures. She’s being really good about it all, but she wants to play with them so bad. Since she’s a million times their size it will have to wait. Both the little girls are only 5 pounds. lmao

My Aunt will probably give them to us completely down the road. She already did once, but I knew she couldn’t quit part with them yet. But for now joint custody will work. ;)

Middle name meme

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: tags

It’s been a little while since I’ve been tagged, so I’m happy to get this one. They go in spurts don’t they? lol Thanks Ami-chen for the tag. Thankfully I only have to come up with 4 tags for this one, so I can do that no problem. lol

The Rules:

1. You have to post the rules before you give the facts.
2. You must list one fact that is relevant to your life for each letter in your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name than use a name that you like.
3. When you are tagged you must write a post containing your own middle name game facts.
4. At the end of your post you must tag one person for each letter in your middle name.. Don’t forget to comment them telling that they are tagged and to read your post to get the rules.

So I seriously dislike my middle name, but here it is for the whole world to read. Ruby BLECH, isn’t that a creepy name?

R- Ready for the big changes our careers have gone through to pay off.
U- Ultimate fighting (MMA) is watched most days of the week in our house. We love WWE too.
B- Bought daughter new bedroom furniture. She’s the only one in the house with full matching furniture. spoiled brat!
Y- You’ll probably never see my middle name on here again. lol

K, to tag:
Retta at Thoughts out of my Head of course cause she has nothing better to do. ROLMAO JK!
Angie at Angie Rambles
KC at Connecting Rainbows. She has done graphic word for me and is awesome. Check out her site, she can do anything!
and Bev at Bev’s Bits. Look I got some new blood in the tags finally! WOOHOO

Reno day 1

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: vacations

I know everyone’s been waiting with baited breath right. Where’s the posts about Reno. Well life didn’t slow down once I got home so I didn’t get to posting. I’ll start now and just go through day by day. lol But let’s just say I am so glad I went. It was a blast and I can’t wait to take hubby and then the kids down there as well. It’s my new favorite place to go. So beware, these will be long posts!

We almost didn’t make our flight though. We checked in online at my Aunt’s house, then took off to the airport. We were there with plenty of time to spare. Well over an hour. My Aunt thought it was weird cause our gate was somewhere she’s never loaded before and she’s been to Reno a lot. Her (just like family) lived there for many, many years before passing away recently. So I grabbed a bottle of water, Mom bought coffee and my Aunt bought a new suitcase to fit her laptop. lol So jealous, I’m about ready to trash on mine cause it gets put in my gym bag. Not safe! Luckily my Aunt gets a phone call and it reminds me to check the time on my cell phone. WTF? It says 10:12 and we were supposed to start loading at 10:01. The plane leaves at 10:20. So my Aunt goes up to the ticket desk and low and behold, they’d changed the gate an hour before the flight. HOLY SHIT, to the other side of the airport. That would be Sea-tac airport for those that understand. We aren’t talking about a quick run, we have to get on the underground shuttle to get there and then RUN! lol But we made it and it was a mess to get our overheads in since we were almost the last to get on.

I now know why pilots like to fly. It’s the take off. I LOVE THAT! Going over 150mph rocks! I could do that all day long. lol

We got to Reno with no issues at all. It was rocky through the Sierra’s before landing, but it was ok. We couldn’t get ahold of my Great aunt and cousing after we landed, but low and behold, their plane had been late and they were right in front of us waiting for the hotel shuttle. lmao Awesome timing.

I really liked Circus Circus. I felt very safe there and since it’s connected to the silver legacy and the el dorado, you never have to leave the 6 block complex. Mom brought me some great luck and I was up $2.50 by the end of the night. Since I only gamble with $20 this is a great feat. lmao We had lunch and dinner with my relatives and that was a blast. My Great aunt had drinks with me (she’s in her late 70’s) and she also made me eat half her dinner. I wasn’t hungry, but you don’t argue with her. She’ll kick your butt no matter how old she is. I so love her!

We had a good time in the midway as well. One cousin is only 16 so we went and played a bunch of the games with her. My Aunt and I were doing some serious competition. I won two stuffies so that was enough for me. One for each of my kids. lol You can easily drop more money down in the midway than in the casino, it’s horrible!

Mom and I read our books for a little bit that night, but didn’t stay up late. It was a great start to our trip. :)

Acne cures

I know I’ve posted earlier about how great Proactive is. But I get updates on specials they are running and I want to pass them on to you as well. Right now they are having a special to try out the products. You can get three of the essentials to try in trial size (they will last you at least a month) for only $19.95. You will also get 2 bonuses with that order. Hopefully it will be one of the masks because those work great. They work even better when they are free. lol

If you’ve wanted to try Proactive this is a great time to do so. There is no obligation, but I know you will continue to use it once you see the results. Don’t forget to use an oil free moisturizer as well if you don’t order it in your Proactive package.

Reno’s almost here

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: general, vacations

I won’t believe it until I get on the plane. lol I’ve flown once in my life. To San Diego on a family vacation my senior year. My Mom was so freaked out I couldn’t even leave me seat and my seat belt had to stay on the whole time. So it’s only fitting that the next time I fly, 17 years later, I’m going with my Mom again.

My Mom, Aunt, Great Aunt, and a bunch of cousins I haven’t met are meeting up in Reno on Tues. morning. I have so much to get done by then. I know hubby is a little jealous, but he’s doing a great job of holding it back. I’m sure if I wasn’t having to room with my odd Mom it would be a different story. LMAO

So since it is mid-week the trip is uber cheap. $368 with airfare and room for both of us! Two nights stay and 2 round trip tickets. WOW, yes hubby and I will be making that trip. Hell, that cheap we can actually take the kids sometime. We’ll be staying at the Circus Circus. The funniest thing is I don’t gamble, so I’ll be wandering around all three of the adjoined hotels. I’ll report back this weekend when I get back.

Keep the internet in order till I get back.

OMG Cockroaches?

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: vacations

I do believe there are roaches in this motel.  I’m afraid to go to sleep.  I’m trying to get drunk so I will pass out and this will ruin
my families time tomorrow, but there are roaches in the bathroom.  EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I’m in Washington state and we don’t have roaches, so don’t even give me attitude about it’s normal.  It’s not!  I’m in a cheap hotel and
we will never stay here again.  Believe me, I will be booking it from now on.  I will map it out every other weekend if needed, but
I will not sleep in a roach motel.  My foot is on the floor and I keep waiting to feel something.  I go to the bathroom and kill 2 little
roaches each time.

Why do I only have beer?  I need some Patron baby, knock my ass out.  The family is finally asleep, I have no internet and I have god
damned roaches in the bathroom!  Which no one will even know about unless I tell them.  lol And you wonder why Mom’s don’t sleep?

Hotel Hell

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: vacations

I’m writing this post from Westport, but can’t post it until Sunday.  GASP, no WIFI!

We are staying in hotel hell, so please look for our story in the next horror movie.  lol  But we are only in the room to sleep
so $50 is $50.  We haven’t found a room for this cheap for many years.  But alas we ran out of hot water after the kids took a shower
so guess it’s worth it to spend a little more.  Hubby is about ready to crash from all the fresh air we have gotten and he hasn’t
gotten a shower yet.  :(  I can stay up for hours (it’s only 9:44) and the hot water will be back I’m sure.  Not sure if he will make it
to a shower.  lol  The room is totally ghetto and smells of smoke, but it would be perfect if they’d just get some new beds and new
comforters.  It smells like my Great-grandma’s house used to.  bahahaha

We’ve totally decided we have to live closer to the ocean.  Like maybe move to Olympia so it’s only an hour away.  My best friend would
be happy about that.  No matter why they come to the ocean so much.  An hour drive is nothing.  Someday down the road we want to own
property at least here to put a camper on.  Of course we’d love to have a vacation house because then we could also rent it out.  lol  But
we’d settle for anything.

Yep, hubby just fell asleep with no shower.  I’m afraid to take a shower and run out of water before I get all the soap and shampoo off.
I think I’ll wait another hour and then take a shower.  I want to get as much of the smoke smell out of here as possible and then I’m still
sleeping with the window open.  Not safe I know, but I really don’t want to have an allergy attach in the middle of the night.

K, no hope of shower tonight.  HOLY CRAP, there are bugs in the bathroom.  I’ve killed three of them already.  Like I couldn’t figure out that there would be bugs in this hotel.  LMAO  I’m sure they will want to stay here again because it’s cheap.  So next time we stay I will be doing shots so I go to sleep before everyone else!

I’ll let you know how the sleep is tomorrow.  But hubby already told the kids they’d be going out to get coffee’s and probably breakfast
so I could sleep.  Does he love me or what?!!  Be jealous!

Brady’s Oyster Feed

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: eating, vacations

We have wanted to hit this oyster feed for the last few years. Finally we hit it by accident. lol This was the only weekend we were
available to runaway to the ocean and low and behold, it’s oyster feed weekend! WOOHOO, all you can eat oysters!

Not only is it all you can eat, but the $14 price went to the clean water fund. Sweet, tax deduction for food!

I have to admit that I felt slightly out of place because so many regulars were there. But they were very friendly, I think I was just
expecting a little more mingling to happen. With the way the property goes the tables have some room between them. But like I said
we didn’t feel uncomfortable, it was just our first time here and it’s always weird the first time you go somewhere.

My first trip through I got the oyster stew and plenty of steamed oysters. Plus some BBQ’d oysters. Cocktail sauce and I was
good to go. One trip through down.

So then we went inside to buy my daughters sweat pants she’s been waiting a year to buy. Last year she didn’t have her money when
we came through town and she didn’t know how much money she had at home. Unfortunately, they were double the price! WTF, not buying
them now. She and I chatted and decided we should hit them tomorrow when we buy our seafood on the way out of town. They may have
the prices jacked for the feed. I have a feeling they don’t, but it’s possible. Plus, it’s just so damm cool that we can connect like
that. LMAO

The kids were free since they are under 12 and that was awesome. But they don’t like oysters anymore, they used to, so it was only
clam chowder for them. But alas, they have hot dogs for $1. We bought little one a hot dog and he ate 2 bowls of chowder. That’s a lot
of food! oldest ate 2 bowls of chowder and some rolls as well.

My second trip was all about the clam chowder and cole slaw. It was so yummy. I’d actually love some more right now. I think I will
buy some clams and make some next week.

The cool thing is you are allowed to bring your own drinks. Including beer. So we filled hubby’s big short pockets and he had a few.
I wanted one, but thankfully I didn’t have one. I was so full from the food that would have really set me over the edge. lol

Next year they have moved it to the second weekend in Sept. I like it in Sept. We will make it a new tradition for hubby’s bday.
I’m actually smelling a trip to the ocean with just a bunch of friends for his bday/oyster feed instead. Can you just picture the fun?
There are so many condo’s out here to rent. It would be awesome to grab a house or big condo with a few other couples. I’m already
to plan it. ;)

So join us the second week in Sept. for the Brady’s Oyster feed in 08!

To the ocean this weekend

Posted by: queen of all  :  Category: vacations

Well I am literally on the road to the ocean.  I did have internet service for a few seconds when we stopped for a bathroom break.
The comfort in was across the street.  lol  But I’m just typing up drafts and then I’ll post them later.  Hopefully tonight, but I
know there is internet access at Brady’s (www.bradysoysters.com) so I can log on from there.  Course I’ll get a major bad look for
doing that.  So I think I’ll stick to waiting for a hotel tonight.  Man, what am I going to do if we can’t get a hotel with wifi?

I’m doing well so far.  If I was reading a book, I’d be getting quesy by now.  I think it is the fact that I can type and look around
at the same time.  Guess we’ll find out if I get carsick from typing.

**Update, I did not get carsick and I loved that I could do some newsletters and blog posts on the road.  This is totally addicting
and I LOVE MY LAPTOP!!!
