general
Well I posted previously that I couldn’t wait for school to be out so we don’t have to get up as early. Well i have been able to sleep in an hour later, but that is going to change some days a week. My daughter has a job and they will be picking her up are 5:45. WTF? lol It’s all good, I can’t wait to teach her to be good with her money. Unlike how we are.
Next week is the 4th and hubby has to work it. Only major holiday besides New Year’s eve that he is scheduled to work this year. Not bad for a probie! lol But I haven’t decided what the kids and I are going to do yet. We are heading out of town to help my MIL move yet again the next day so I don’t really want to go out very late. But then again, it’s supposed to be an unheard of 88 on the 4th here and my aunt always has a party at her house on the lake. Thinking it would be nice to play at the lake in that great sunshine.
I guess I’ll figure it out later. I’ve been tempted to just stay home and let the kids invite a couple of friends over instead. We’ll have to see how I feel later on. Guess I could call my Aunt and see if she is even having the party this year. Not sure when she will be back from NY.

fireman,
general

My heart and thoughts go out to the fallen fire fighters in Charleston. May their families and fellow brothers find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their mourning. I have been unable to go an hour today without thinking of all of you going through this.
Yes, if you have read my blog for a little while you know that my hubby is a fireman. He has been for 7 years now as a volunteer and was hired full-time in Feb. My only comfort at a time like this is knowing that these men died doing something they truly loved. Even though this is a tragedy that is by no means the norm, it was still with a heavy heart that I sent him off to work yesterday morning.
Even though we are new to the department, I already understand that the IAFF is a brotherhood like no other. I know that you will have help and comfort for many years to come. There is truly no other profession that pulls together in a time of need like the fire fighters.
Please take time out of your day today and over the weekend to say thank you for the men that gave their life looking to save another. And also for the continued safety of those all around you that will gladly do this to save yours.

general,
school
Oh boy, here comes Summer. How do I know? Well we had sunny and 70 something yesterday and then promptly had rain over night. Yep, welcome to Summer in Seattle. Nice one day, crap the next. It’s all good though. At least my kids will finally be getting out of school here next week. I know you guys on the east coast are saying WTF? right now. lol Yep, we are working towards year around school here I guess. If we could ever go for a full 5 day week it would be a miracle. We might actually get out when the rest of the country does. That’s a concept huh?
Enough about that. I love summer and I can’t wait for no more early mornings to get them ready for school. WOOHOO, I can sleep in an hour before getting ready for work. Or better yet, I can schedule my appointments later and not have to get up early at all. Boy wouldn’t that be the life. I’m sure that won’t happen, but it’s a great thought.
We are supposed to have the house fixed up to put on the market in July. That’s not very far away. And yet, we haven’t done a darn thing yet to spruce it up and finish the small projects. Let alone the big projects like tiling the bathroom floor! I guess I need to make a list of what we need to do and then we can cross stuff off. Maybe it just seems overwhelming to look around at all of it. I need to paint the entire inside of the house. I’ve been meaning to for the last 2 years. But man, who in the world has time for that? I don’t even find time to weed for goodness sake. I just need to set aside an hour a day for house projects. Then each day I hit a different one until they are completed. Good thing I’m the queen of lists.

quizzes
My laptop has driven me crazy for the last few days. Very long story and long chats with customer service agents in India. But I now know exactly what time it is in India at all times. Bahahaha they are 13 hours ahead of me. Yeah, could have made it a long time in life without needing that info.
Anyway, I’m throwing up these two fun quizzes cause I need a just for fun post!
You Are 62% Pure
|

You’re pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that.
You do have a devilish side though… and it will probably get the better of you.
|
What? 62% pure? Are you kidding me? That’s not even close to true.
You Are 53% Vain
|

You’re a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence.
Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don’t think less of those who aren’t as pretty as you!
|
Hmm, that seems high as well. Oh well, can’t have all of them hit me true.

Guess what I am typing from at this moment? Are you really that freakin’ stupid, read the title. lmao Yep, the laptop is here. It shipped a day early and then took only another day to get here. Holy crap DHL rocks. I need to figure out how to ship stuff through them for Christmas, cause they can’t be matched for service.
I’m in heaven. Hubby won’t bug me about it for a few days. lol But this is what he wanted. Now instead of being behind him on the PC, I can sit by him at the coffee table to work. :) I can’t wait to get so much done while I’m at work. Course I have to get everything loaded to this one first. lol I’m hoping that won’t take too long. Now if I can get a wireless network while I’m at work, I’ll be in heaven!!!
I swear I’m gonna hit a wifi cafe just cause I can. lol What a dork I am huh? Oh wait, did you ever read that I live in the Seattle area? See it’s not my fault I’m a computer dork, we come by it naturally cause of the lack of sun. roflmao Lot’s of internet cafe’s here. Just to find one that has good coffee and good sandwiches.
It’s taking me forever to get used to the new keyboard and mouse. I really dislike the mousepad on the laptop. I hover my wrist over it so much that it throws my windows off. lol Floats back and forth between the tabs. I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I do have a wireless mouse, but then I have to sit forward at the table instead of having it on my lap. I’m in spoiled mode right now, not sit and be uncomfy mode.
Funny story about the mouse. I hate reading directions. I do for big things, but not for stupid stuff like a mouse. I ripped open the plastic for it with my crappy scissors, worried I was going to cut myself open on the plastic. Why is that crap so dang hard to get into? Then pull out the usb link and plug it in, easy cheesy, grab the mouse pad and try to use it. Nothing, waiting, nothing, mother fucker. What is wrong with it. Should be plug and go. :( Well then after a few glasses of wine it doesn’t matter to me if I break the damn thing and I start pushing this button on the end. Yes I know some of you are laughing hysterically and probably peeing your pants. DUH, needs a damn battery? WHAT? lol Oh, guess reading the directions would be good for the little stuff too.

lol
Here my friends sit chatting going on for about 4 hours now. Possibly longer. lol We have a huge new project we are starting. It’s going to rock your world and then some. ;)  It took us forever to come up with a domain name between 3 of us. Now we have it and it’s the one we’d hoped to get.
So it’s a big secret until I get it all loaded and we play with it. But believe me I will be posting here about it cause you are all going to join us.
But on that note. My laptop came in today. It shipped a day early and then only took a day to get to me. HOLY CRAP, that’s so awesome! I love DHL. I have to get all of my favorites and programs over to it, but here I sit next to hubby watching tv and blogging. So much happier. I can’t wait to take it to work next week and be able to update my clients immediately after their appointments.
